You Can Help Every Patriot Succeed

At George Mason, student success is about more than a diploma. It’s about preparing graduates for life—and for a lifetime of achievement. We eliminate barriers to ensure that students from all backgrounds and starting points can thrive. We ask our students “Where do you want to go?” and then we work passionately to help them get there.

Your support can empower the next generation of learners and leaders to meet challenges, realize opportunities, and redefine what’s possible.

Expanding Access

The Mason Virginia Promise (MVP) guarantees admission to graduates of partner community colleges to pursue a bachelor’s degree at George Mason. MVP also provides training to Virginians interested in starting a business. MVP exemplifies what George Mason is about: empowering people, rewarding entrepreneurship, and uplifting communities.

Accelerating Achievement

George Mason’s Honors College provides outstanding entering first-year students—known as University Scholars—with four-year, full-tuition scholarships, enabling a diverse and multidisciplinary group of problem-solvers to take on the grand challenges and opportunities of the future.

Propelling Progress

Since 1987, the Early Identification Program (EIP) has provided year-long educational resources to students in grades 8-12 who are the first in their families to attend college. EIP offers career readiness, social and personal development, and academic success support, helping students overcome barriers to admission, progression, and graduation.

Serving Those Who Serve

The Military, Veterans, and Families Initiative (MVFI) leverages George Mason’s strengths as the largest, most diverse research university in Virginia to give back to those who give their all to our nation. The program provides coordinated access to university-wide services and programming to George Mason service members, veterans, and their families—who represent more than 10 percent of our undergraduate population.
