The George Mason University Foundation (GMUF) expresses its great appreciation for the Board of Trustee members and community representatives who have faithfully offered their time, knowledge, and expertise to George Mason.
“Our Board members are the heart of the George Mason University Foundation,” said Trishana E. Bowden, GMUF president and George Mason University vice president for advancement and alumni relations. “Each of them brings a wealth of perspective and expertise to our shared mission, and it is their energy, collaboration, and dedication that makes the GMUF Board of Trustees so effective. We bid farewell to our departing Board members with great appreciation.”
Through their many contributions, these board members have partnered with university leadership to advance George Mason’s mission and vision. They have taken on a variety of roles—serving on committees, establishing scholarships, volunteering their time, and more. Their dedication has been both invaluable and instrumental to the university’s continued growth.
Jennifer Burkhart London was a member on the Board of Trustees for six years. She served on the Nomination and Governance Committee since 2019 and participated in a recent dinner with a focus on the Military, Veterans and Families Initiative (MVFI).
Trevor Montano, BS ’00is a proud graduate of George Mason University, where he earned his bachelor of science degree from the Costello College of Business. He has been a dedicated member of the Board of Trustees for nine years, contributing significantly to various committees. Since 2016, he served on the Investment Committee, including as chair from 2019 to 2023. In addition, he actively contributed to the Finance and Real Estate Committee since 2023. Montano co-founded the Montano Student Investment Fund in 2018 to enhance student learning and engagement.
Heather Romagnoli served on the Board of Trustees for three years. During her tenure, she was actively involved as a member on the Audit Committee, serving from 2022 to 2025. Her expertise in banking and feedback on committee matters has served the Board tremendously. Romagnoli represented the foundation at events and has been a supporter of student programs, ensuring that they continue to thrive.
Pauline Thompson served on the Board of Trustees for six years, offering over 40 years of business experience and real estate expertise during her tenure on the Finance and Real Estate Committee. Thompson has been a familiar face at many university events and has been a steadfast representative of the foundation in the community.
Kevin Cevasco, BS ’89, MPH ’20, PhD ’24, served as the Graduate of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D) representative for two years. He is a three-time graduate of George Mason, most recently, with his PhD from the College of Public Health. Cevasco has been an active member of the Advancement and University Priorities Committee, participating in events, making introductions, and helping organize alumni outreach in Colorado.
Scott Hine, BS ’85, served the last two years as the Alumni Association representative, as the George Mason University Alumni Association president. A graduate of the Costello College of Business and a longtime leader within the federal government, he brought deep knowledge to his service on the Finance and Real Estate Committee. Hine is an active supporter of George Mason, attending countless events, mentoring students, and volunteering with fellow Patriots. His family created the Hine Family Scholarship Endowment, making access to a George Mason education possible for many students.
Melissa J. Perry, MBA ’25, dean of the College of Public Health, served as the dean representative to the Board for two years. During her tenure, she served on the Investment Committee, where she brought valuable insight to discussions and was an active participant in the RFP process in selecting the advisors for the Board’s restricted portfolio.
